Irchonwelz
About this Place
Irchonwelz is a village within the municipality of Ath in Hainaut. Its significance for the Museum comes from Brasserie des Légendes, whose brewery occupies the medieval Castel d’Irchonwelz. Brewing began here with Brasserie des Géants in 1997; it became Brasserie des Légendes in 2006 following its merger with Brasserie Ellezelloise.
