Boortmeerbeek is a municipality in Flemish Brabant and home to Brouwerij Haacht. Brewing began at the former Haecht dairy in 1898, and the site remains the base of one of Belgium's largest independent family breweries.

Although Boortmeerbeek is not a major tourist destination, but it is an important place in modern Belgian brewing. Brouwerij Haacht produces a wide range of beers, including Primus, Tongerlo, Charles Quint and the Super 8 range. Brewery tours are available on selected dates and provide an opportunity to discover one of Belgium's few remaining large independent family breweries. The village also makes a convenient stop when exploring the brewing heritage of Flemish Brabant.
