Manufactured 2025 Curator’s Notes This Brussels Beer Project (BBP) glass was acquired as part of a gift set containing three of the brewery’s beers: Delta IPA, New England IPA and a mango and passion fruit beer. It presents a notably restrained side of a brewery better known for bold colours, playful designs and experimental branding.
The elegant stemmed glass has a tulip-shaped bowl designed to enhance aromatic beers. The narrow stem and gently flared transition into the bowl give it a more traditional Belgian tasting-glass appearance, while the simple BBP logo keeps the focus on the brewery rather than a single beer.
The contrast with BBP’s more colourful glass designs (eg BBG143) is revealing. This glass suggests that even a brewery built around experimentation can value restraint: the innovation is in the beer itself, while the glass provides a refined setting for experiencing it.
Together with other BBP glassware in the collection, this design reflects a modern Brussels brewing identity built not around one historic recipe, but around variety, experimentation and an evolving relationship between beer, brewer and drinker.
