Brouwerij Omer Vander Ghinste

Brouwerij Omer Vander Ghinste is an independent family brewery in Bellegem, near Kortrijk, where it has brewed continuously since 1892. Remi Vander Ghinste bought a house and its outbuildings for his 23-year-old son Omer, who began brewing and delivering beer locally by horse and cart. The first beer simply carried its brewer’s name. To preserve the costly stained-glass advertising panels placed in cafés, each eldest son was subsequently named Omer—a tradition continued through five generations. **OMER. Traditional Blond**, a bottle-conditioned strong blonde, remains the flagship. The brewery’s wide range also includes **LeFort**, **Bockor**, **Jacobins**, **Kriek Max**, **Blauw Export** and **Ypra**.
