Wépion
About this Place
Wépion lies just south of Namur along the Meuse and is best known in Belgium for its strawberries, a local speciality celebrated by the village’s strawberry museum and gardens. It has a more suburban and spread-out feel than central Namur, and for the Museum the principal reason to visit is Brasserie de la Houppe.
The brewery occupies the former Wépion strawberry auction hall, now adapted into a substantial modern brewing site. It is a more polished visitor operation than many small Belgian breweries, with a dedicated shop, tasting bar and facilities for regular brewery tours.
