Rongy is a village in the municipality of Brunehaut, in western Hainaut close to Tournai and the French border. The surrounding area is predominantly rural, forming part of the agricultural landscape between Tournai and the French frontier.

The village is home to Brasserie de Brunehaut, whose present brewery on Rue des Panneries dates from the company's move from nearby Guignies in 1991. The brewery's emphasis on locally sourced organic ingredients gives its location more than simply an address: agriculture in the surrounding region forms part of its contemporary brewing identity.
