Oudenaarde
About this Place
Oudenaarde is a small historic city on the River Scheldt in East Flanders, best known for its striking Gothic Town Hall and long tradition of tapestry-making. The surrounding area forms part of the Flemish Ardennes, a landscape of rolling hills and small towns quite different from the flatter country found across much of Flanders.
Visitor notes
Brouwerij Roman is in Mater, a small village just outside the centre of Oudenaarde. Brewery tours are available, although visitors should check the brewery website carefully as there are some limitations around tour days, group sizes and languages. The brewery also has a bar which can be visited without taking a tour. Details and current arrangements are available through the links below.
