Capacity 33cl / 25cl
Manufactured 2023 Curator’s Notes A generous goblet-style glass with a broad, rounded bowl and a restrained gold rim. Unlike some of Wilderen’s more heavily branded glassware, this design is comparatively understated. The focal point is the bright yellow stylised “W”, enclosing the brewery’s Clarisse icon, with the Cuvee Clarisse name prominently displayed above the Wilderen name.
Wilderen describes Cuvée Clarisse as a Strong Dark Beer. Within the Museum’s broader beer style categories, it is grouped here with Belgian dark abbey-style beers.
The large bowl reflects the character of a premium Belgian ale glass, allowing space for aroma development while providing a substantial presentation for the beer. Volume markings for both 25cl and 33cl are visible. The glass was manufactured in 2023.
I bought this glass directly from Brouwerij & Distilleerderij Wilderen in August 2026 as part of a day exploring Sint-Truiden and the surrounding area.
