Manufactured 2025 Curator’s Notes Fourchette is a beer that deliberately borrows from the world of fine wine, and its glass makes that intention very clear. An exquisitely proportioned, oversized wine-glass-like bowl sits above an exceptionally long and rakishly thin stem, giving the glass an elegance that borders on deliberate fragility. Despite its proportions, it is beautifully balanced in the hand.
The decoration is restrained. Fourchette and “Mark the Moment” appear on the front, accompanied by the brand's simple vertical-line motif. On the reverse is the inscription “Don't count the days, make the days count”.
The design makes considerably more sense alongside the beer itself. Fourchette is a multigrain tripel which Van Steenberge presents as a beer for gastronomy and slow appreciation, even recommending that it is served in a delicate wine glass. The brewery has pushed the idea further with Grand Cru versions matured in wine barrels, including Sauvignon Blanc. This is not a glass designed to make beer resemble wine by accident. It is part of the theatre of Fourchette: a beer intended to be experienced rather than simply drunk.
