Loburg

About this Brewery

Loburg is a Belgian pilsner brand created by Brouwerij Artois of Leuven in 1977. It was introduced as a more premium alternative within the Artois range, aimed at a new market alongside the brewery’s much better-known Stella Artois. Loburg never achieved the same prominence in Belgium, but it developed a following in France.

The beer is a pale, low-fermentation lager, generally listed at around 5.7% alcohol. Although it is now rarely seen in Belgium, Loburg continues to appear in the French café and bar trade, supplied by AB InBev, the modern successor to Brouwerij Artois. Its distinctive branded glass is therefore a pleasing reminder of one of Artois’s less familiar beers.
