About this Brewery

Place: Ingooigem

BelgaBrew is a small brewing project based in Ingooigem, West Flanders, created by local father-and-son brewers Koen and Stijn Avet. After taking professional brewing courses in 2018, they developed a series of test brews using different malts, hops and yeasts. By the end of 2020, the first three Yvegem beers — Blond, Bruin and Tripel — had been created.

The name Yvegem is an old local name for Ingooigem and forms the identity of the range. BelgaBrew develops its own recipes and brews commercially as a guest brewer at Brouwerij Deca in Woesten. Koen and Stijn use Deca’s brewing installation to make their beers rather than operating a separate production brewery of their own.

The range continues to include Yvegem Blond, Bruin and Tripel, all brewed with 100% Belgian hops.
