Belgische Hop – Houblon Belge – Belgian Hops
About this Brewery
Belgische Hop – Houblon Belge – Belgian Hops is not a brewery or beer brand, but a quality and provenance label promoting hops grown in Belgium. The emblem was introduced in 2011, with Poperinge and the surrounding Westhoek at the heart of the country’s hop-growing tradition.
A brewery may use the standard logo for a beer when at least half of its hops are Belgian-grown and the brewer formally declares their origin. A gold version, introduced in 2017, indicates that the beer uses entirely Belgian hops.
The mark is administered by H.O.P. vzw, which represents and promotes Belgium’s hop sector. This tasting glass therefore does not belong to one particular brewery: it is a promotional object celebrating a shared agricultural ingredient and the growers who sustain an important part of Belgian brewing heritage.
