About this Brewery

Bierfirma Druïde was founded in Deerlijk, West Flanders, in 2004 by three amateur brewers: Pieter Mulleman, Pascal Ostijn and Hendrik Vandendriessche. Their shared interest in brewing developed into a commercial project after meeting during a brewing course.

The name Druïde reflected the medieval-inspired identity they created around their beers: brewing as a craft with a touch of mystery and tradition. Druïde Blond was followed by other beers including Druïde Bruin and Druïde Grand Q.

Like many small Belgian beer firms, Druïde did not rely solely on its own brewing installation. After its early experimental phase, production was carried out with established Belgian brewing partners, including Brouwerij De Graal and De Proefbrouwerij.

The Druïde brand appears to have become inactive in the late 2010s, leaving behind the distinctive imagery — and surviving glassware — of a small Belgian beer project from the early twenty-first century.
